Some of the free services disable most of their advanced features like tracking and web stats. Such services may actually induce the customer, (i.e., you) to purchase or upgrade to one professional version or the other at a later convenient time.
More savvy marketers very often choose to use autoresponder programs. This gives them the ability to control the program, and also avoid stiffer regulations involved in the use of autoresponse services. For instance, a confirmation email is sent to each and every person that is entered into the service list.
