One of the most important items you can use when building a list is an autoresponder. These are systems that include features to help you create a very effective mailing list. They will save you hours of time on a daily basis. Things you may otherwise have to do manually in building a list, the autoresponder will do automatically.
The cost of an autoresponder is less than $20.00 a month. Most will let you pay on a monthly, quarterly or yearly basis. There are many different autoresponder merchants online. There are some who have superb support and the tutorials will help you get started quickly.
If you were to start gathering a list of names and emails sending them one at a time you would be wasting valuable time better spent on something else. With an autoresponder, you can load dozens of emails into the system at once. You can send them out at pre-set intervals on pre-set scheduled days.
In using your autoresponder youll want to write a series of informative valuable emails. These emails should be progressive. For example, the first letter you write should be a Thank you for subscribing to your list. You might want to offer something like an ecourse to show your appreciation.
Next a series of emails spaced anywhere from 4 to 6 days apart might follow. You can create a series of instructive articles on internet marketing. A first article might contain information on list building, a second on affiliate marketing and so forth.
Somewhere, after your fifth email you can drop a link about a product you are selling. Since you will be offering something of value they wont be offended. Just have them take a look, dont push anything on them. What you show them may be something theyre looking for. Theyll be more inclined to buy it from you than from someone with whom they have no contact.
You might want to use the autoresponder to send out a long series of emails during your initial venture. Doing this will give you practice writing emails and getting use to using an auto responder. So about every fourth time you send an email try to send a little gift like a short ebook. It is easy to secure decent private label rights ebooks, free.
